Hi everyone and welcome to my Healthy Eating website.

Healthy eating has become a passion of mine over the past few years, as I’ve been trying to educate myself and my family on this subject. As society is becoming more and more aware that the food we eat influences both our moods and our health, there has been a plethora of products and ideas hitting the market, which are not always easy to understand and use.

I’m here to help you navigate through all that information!


It all started 3 years ago, when my husband decided to join the police force. In order to pass the various assessments, he needed to lose weight and get in shape. When we had a good look at our diet, we realised that with small changes, he could achieve his goal in a few months.

The first step was switching to everything wholegrain: bread, pasta etc. To continue the high fibre streak, we introduced a lot of legumes to our diet. We swapped fatty meats for leaner ones, started eating more veggies and fish and familiarized ourselves with healthier ways of cooking: oven-baking, steaming etc.

Long story short, 7 months later, my husband had lost 20 kg and was ready to take on all the assessments and challenges of the metropolitan police recruitment process. After a long and painful year, he finally joined the force. The start of this new career posed a new dilemma: how to keep eating healthy while making the meals hearty enough to keep him going through patrols and a lot of physical activity? Our lives and our goals are ever-changing and so are our diets. That’s why my website is here! This is why I want to help people! There are so many products and diets out there and it’s very tricky to know which ones will help and which will only do more harm.

After trying out many different things and helping friends and family find their way in the maze of (often contradictory) info, I wanted to extend some useful tips and tricks to everyone out there.
